The Company

TUPAN Aircraft Company is an aeronautical enterprise with the specific objective to develop, manufacture and commercialize TUPAN HSVSTOL (High Speed, Vertical and Short Take Off and Landing) aircraft, autonomously or remotely piloted. Despite being a new company, it already has a promising future, due to the great competitive advantage that TUPAN Aircraft offers, providing a new fast cargo transport service, safe and at low cost. 

Due to its multi-mission role, propulsion flexibility and design versatility characteristics can be widely applied in many areas. The company has an experienced team of engineers from ITA (Aeronautical Institute of Technology) at the DCTA (Department of Airspace Science and Technology) with previous experience in Embraer and Avibras, all well-known Brazilian Institutions whose backgrounds are well established.

Nowadays, the advancements in hardware and software are more efficient, allowing quicker calculation, forecasting, and control system operation than a human can achieve and providing decision support for a supervising person in charge of completing tasks.

With rapid development in telecommunications, particularly in data transmission, global positioning, and telemetry, large amounts of data can now be transmitted between distant locations worldwide, even in remote areas. This enables remote supervision of navigation, minimizing the impact of human factors and making it possible to use small aircraft that can't accommodate a pilot due to their size and weight limitations.

Turbofan engines have a high thrust-to-weight ratio, contributing to high-speed flights with low fuel and battery consumption. In addition, TUPAN aircraft is equipped with Electric Ducted Fan engines within the fuselage for enhanced safety, particularly during the vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) phase. These engines are activated during VTOL or in case of flight failure, providing reliable emergency support.
